Cedric Wu, Ph.D

Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed post-doctoral training in nucleic acid, surface, and analytical chemistry. As an accomplished researcher, Dr. Wu has invented cutting-edge technologies and published his research in leading scientific journals. He has authored more than 40 articles and patents along with numerous trade secrets in commercial production lines.
Currently, Dr. Wu is leading both Custom Array and GenScript’s Innovation Center, focusing on semiconductor microarray fabrication, DNA synthesis technology development, target enrichment, mRNA, next-generation pharmaceutical formulation, DNA data storage, and many applications. Prior to his tenure at GenScript, Cedric served as a senior staff scientist and a member of technical staff in the R&D team at Twist Bioscience. His experience spans various DNA and RNA synthesis platforms including column, plate, light-directed, printing, and semiconductor DNA synthesis technologies.
